Catherine Sky received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2001. Since moving to the Bay Area in 2011, she has explored through painting, the exchange between land and water and how the built environment coexists with the natural landscape. As an art educator, with over 20 years of experience teaching in public schools,  Catherine specializesin arts-based environmental education, and has designed a curriculum which guides children to explore the patterns of nature through a visual arts lens.  She completed her Masters in Education from Sonoma State in 2023 and currently teaches art at a public elementary school in San Rafael.
