Work
“Work alone is your privilege. Never the fruits thereof. Never let the fruits of your action be your motive and never cease to work. Work in the name of the Lord, abandoning your selfish desires. Be not affected by success or failure. This equipoise is called yoga.”
As my show at A Woman's Eye Gallery comes to a close I am reminded of this quote I came across in Light on Yoga, Iyengar's definitive text. Iyengar, who died this month at age 95, was a living example of this credo. It applies to so many facets of life and I am remembering it as I sit in my studio, ready to begin the next phase of work.
